KSBNS Research Achievement Award

The Korean Society for Brain and Neural Sciences (KSBNS) has established the KSBNS Research Achievement Award to recognize and encourage mid-career neuroscientists who have made sustained and creative contributions to neuroscience and are expected to continue producing internationally recognized, high-impact research.

This award was newly founded in 2025 through a generous endowment of 100 million KRW by Dr. Hee-Sup Shin, a former president of KSBNS. It is intended to honor researchers who have accumulated a track record of sustained, internationally recognized scientific achievements in key areas of brain and neural sciences. The awardee will be formally recognized during the KSBNS Annual International Meeting, where they will also be invited to deliver a major lecture, providing an opportunity to share their research accomplishments with the broader national and international neuroscience community.

Rather than focusing on a single contribution, this award evaluates the candidate's recent body of work in terms of creativity, continuity, scientific rigor, and impact on both academia and the Society.
